The science behind Semaglutide

When you eat, the food stimulates your gut to release the GLP-1 hormone. GLP-1 helps lower blood glucose (blood sugar) by triggering insulin release. Insulin helps blood glucose enter your body's cells for later energy use.

Worried about side effects?

Some patients may experience side effects while on Semaglutide. The most common one is nausea. While these side effects can be bothersome, the good news is that they usually subside over time.

Your doctor will help find the best treatment, gradually increasing the dosage for weight loss and comfort. If you have any issues, they'll adjust the plan. Just send a message — no appointment required.

Your doctor can also prescribe generic Zofran (Ondansetron) if needed. This optional anti-nausea medication can help with side effects.
